Halloween 2010: The Pictures

Frankly, this was the most fun Halloween I have seen in as long as I can remember and I owe a large debt to my children, children-in-law and grandchildren for re-inventing the occasion.

My son, Ben, was the hit of the neighborhood.  As "Papa Smurf," he stole the show for the adults and children alike. The “Smurf” theme was perfect overall.

I wish to retract any mention I might have made about his crabbiness. He was a great sport and contributed much to the enjoyment of hundreds of parents, looters and homeowners that special evening.

Rather than drone on about the cuteness and fun, I’ll include a few snaps so you’ll get the general idea. Me? I am still smiling!

  2. Halloween was quiet in our neighborhood. We had three waves of about 3-5 kids (and their mothers - dads were home watching the Rangers!!). I guess the fact that we were one of two houses with lights on didn't do much to entice the little gobblins into wandering further into the dark of the cul-de-sac for very little reward. Oh well, more goodies for me!! -RK

  3. How much scotch did he have to use to dress in blue? GW

That's paint. No scotch or other treasures were harmed or consumed until Trick or Treat was over.

Took him a long time to scrub that stuff off. Maybe it was ink?

  5. The scotch drinking happened before the paint application began. Had to, otherwise there would have been telltale blue marks on the neck of the empty bottle.

Hmm. You seem particularly well informed for an anonymous stranger.
